Suggestion by Sam F., Orange County, CA: "We love THR,! Since they are located in a rural area and the rooms are simple, we recommend you do what we do and throw your cooler in the car and bring snacks with your favorite beverages, and a coffee maker. - they have ice." Pamela B. from Florida says, "My sisters and I meet at Tuscany Hills every year and stay in the Villa. Six years in a row has taught us to plan our menu and bring our food and drinks with us. I could fall asleep outside on the porch! We love how the staff truly cares for their guests and it's common to see the owners working the property. " Tom & Sharon O. , Riverside, CA says, "My husband and I both work and go to school and needed a weekend off. We found your hotel on line and booked you and could not have been happier! All we did all weekend was sleep, swim, goof around, relax and hang out at the soaking pools. We loved our stay, and will be back again, thank you!"
Things to Do
RELAX. Enjoy our cascading, hot soaking pools and swimming pool or hang out on our patio in front of our Banquet Center and enjoy the peace and quiet. and amazing So Cal weather. From the pool near the lockers, you'll find a dry sauna. Towels should be available for you but if it looks like we need more, ask any of our Guest Services staff members and they will happily take care of you.
Take a walk and you'll hear the sounds of local songbirds. We have cardinals and chickadees and beautiful wild finches. You’ll also see hummingbirds and orioles (both drink nectar) and you might even hear a woodpecker or see a roadrunner. Escondido is also home to several species of alligator lizards, skinks, geckos and legless lizards. They are all harmless and keep our bug population in check. If you find one in your room (eek!), do not try to pick it up or you might end up with a wiggly tail! Try to "shoo" it out your door or ask a guest services representative to help you. - we're pro's. If you see a snake, and it's pretty, it's probably a California King Snake or a Rosy Boa, both harmless and will likely will turn away from you. Summertime does bring us rattle snakes, easily identified with their warning noise - be careful with yourself and any pets you may bring. We are a pet-friendly hotel however, a deposit will be required for each pet for your entire stay. Be sure to alert Guest Services at the time of your reservation so they assign a suite without carpet..
